Health Policy and Advocacy
HANC engages in local, regional, state, and national policy and advocacy issues in accordance with its mission and vision, and as directed by its member organizations. These activities include engagement of decision makers, lawmakers, and elected officials on issues affecting community health centers and our partners; relationship building from the local to the national level; and forming, facilitating, and leading regional and statewide networks and coalitions to affect change for rural community health.
HANC is an active member in the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) and the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). Visit them for more information on legislation, policy, and advocacy issues impacting community health centers.
